Description

Unlike the other programs released by NR, utd, Tinker Time is a builder program to create within instead of a video game. Originally created as a map builder, the in-house team found entertainment in building with it and chose to release it to the public to be played with in a fashion similar to Lego(TM) blocks. It may also be used in the future as a test from companies as a test for artists to truly test how well an artist's sense of design by editing the textures of the tiles and putting them together to form designs.

History

Tinker Time began as a simple tile / map editor for isometric 2D games for NR, utd. was planning to develop at the time. As Tinker Time continued to grow, it was growing to a point of being fun just to build with. As it was released to a few testers, their feedback suggested to release it publicly for others to work with. Tinker Time changed directions to market itself more appropriately from their feedback.
